Check-in took minutes, and the receptionist was correct and friendly. Mr. José Carlos stood out – he gave us tips on excursions and places to visit. The breakfast buffet was rich and varied; in a week they changed the cakes daily, all delicious, plus good savory options and fresh orange juice. The room was very wide with super comfortable beds, though the bathroom was a bit small – but the shower was excellent. We faced the avenue and could hear street noise, but we were so tired we slept great. The air conditioning was a bit old and noisy but worked perfectly. Wi-Fi in the room was excellent, and they have a free cyber corner with two computers. A special mention for reservations manager Bruna Ferreira – when she learned one of us was arriving on his birthday, she left a cake and a signed card in the room. A lovely surprise. I'll definitely return to Rio.”
